Job Summary
The Research Assistant will support environmental research projects by collecting, analyzing, and organizing data related to sustainability, climate change, environmental impact, and community-based environmental initiatives. The role involves assisting in fieldwork, report preparation, documentation, and stakeholder engagement to ensure high-quality research outputs that inform environmental decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and implementing environmental research projects.
- Conduct field data collection, surveys, interviews, and observations.
- Support environmental assessments and community studies.
- Compile, organize, and analyze research data using appropriate tools.
- Assist in preparing research reports, presentations, and publications.
- Maintain accurate records of research activities and findings.
- Support literature reviews and background research.
- Collaborate with community stakeholders, partners, and project teams.
- Ensure compliance with ethical research standards and organizational policies.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or pursuing) in Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Natural Resource Management, Geography, Climate Science, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of research methods and data collection techniques.
- Strong analytical and report-writing skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of data analysis tools is an added advantage.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and in field conditions.
