Job Summary

The Research Assistant will support environmental research projects by collecting, analyzing, and organizing data related to sustainability, climate change, environmental impact, and community-based environmental initiatives. The role involves assisting in fieldwork, report preparation, documentation, and stakeholder engagement to ensure high-quality research outputs that inform environmental decision-making.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and implementing environmental research projects.
  • Conduct field data collection, surveys, interviews, and observations.
  • Support environmental assessments and community studies.
  • Compile, organize, and analyze research data using appropriate tools.
  • Assist in preparing research reports, presentations, and publications.
  • Maintain accurate records of research activities and findings.
  • Support literature reviews and background research.
  • Collaborate with community stakeholders, partners, and project teams.
  • Ensure compliance with ethical research standards and organizational policies.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or pursuing) in Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Natural Resource Management, Geography, Climate Science, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of research methods and data collection techniques.
  • Strong analytical and report-writing skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of data analysis tools is an added advantage.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in field conditions.
